1. Who We Are

Similto is a conversational product discovery service operated at similto.com, based in Istanbul, Turkey. For questions about this policy, contact us at contact@similto.com.

2. Data We Collect

Account information

When you sign in with Google or Apple, we receive your name, email address, and (where available) profile picture. This is used to create and maintain your account.

Conversation data

Messages, images you upload, search queries, and results are stored to provide the service. Conversations are tied to your account so you can access your history.

Usage data

We track daily usage counts (searches, image generations) to enforce plan limits. We also collect your approximate location (country) via IP address to provide localized search results.

Payment data

Payments are processed by Dodo Payments as our Merchant of Record. We do not store your payment card details. Dodo Payments handles all payment information. See Dodo Payments Privacy Policy for details.

3. How We Use Your Data

• To provide and improve the product discovery service

• To enforce usage limits based on your subscription tier

4. Third-Party Services

Similto uses trusted third-party service providers for authentication, image processing, search, AI-powered analysis, and payment processing. We only share the minimum data necessary for each service to function. Payment processing is handled by Dodo Payments as our Merchant of Record.

Advertising and measurement (mobile app)

Our iOS mobile app uses the Meta (Facebook) SDK to measure the effectiveness of our advertising — for example, to understand which app installs and in-app actions came from ads we run on Instagram and other Meta platforms. On iOS this may involve your device's advertising identifier (IDFA), which is used for tracking only if you grant permission through Apple's App Tracking Transparency prompt. If you decline, measurement falls back to Apple's privacy-preserving SKAdNetwork, which does not identify you individually. You can change this choice anytime in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking. This applies to the mobile app only; our website does not use advertising cookies (see “Cookies” below).

5. Image Storage

Images you upload are stored in Google Cloud Storage to enable search and conversation features. Generated and modified images are also stored. These images are accessible via direct URL.

6. Data Retention

Your account and conversation data are retained as long as your account is active. You can request deletion of your account and associated data by contacting us at contact@similto.com.

7. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you
• Request correction of inaccurate data
• Request deletion of your data
• Object to or restrict processing of your data
• Request a copy of your data in a portable format

8. Cookies

Similto uses essential cookies for authentication sessions. We do not use tracking or advertising cookies.

9. Children's Privacy

Similto is not intended for users under 16 years of age. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
